Oooookay, ignore every post I've ever made up until now, I found a better way to do this. Photobucket, as it turns out, is not only much less confusing, it has an editing program, so these images even slightly prettier.

AUGH okay, maybe not. I don't understand why this has to be so difficult. I click insert image. I click photobucket. Aaaaand it gives me a blank window. I hate everything. Someone please help me.

Okay! I scanned some things from my sketchbook. I am having technical difficulties like nobody's business and I'm very frustrated. At least three of the pictures in the psychadelic/abstract gallery and un-viewable for reasons I cannot determine. I am all kinds of illiterate when it comes to tek-nawl-o-gee, so any help I can get would be very much appreciated. There are supposed to be two galleries now; the new one is called Sketchbookery.

Ugh I have been laaazy with updating this thing. I will do some scanning today, I swear! I am finishing up a script for a zine comic which I will be putting on here, page by page, and I'm in league now with some people running an independent newspaper in Eugene so I'll be linking periodically when I've done something cool and want to show off.

I went to the Atmosphere show in Portland Monday night and my ears are still ringing like a mofo but it was totally worth it. I didn't prepare for karaoke, however, and I'm bummed about that. It's a new goal of mine to eventually get onstage at an Atmosphere show and sing Fuck You, Lucy.

9 days until Sasquatch. Still not sure how I'm going to pay for food and other things. Random generous donations are now being accepted.

Some things to look at, as promised! I created a gallery in my scrapbook, apparently. There will be more galleries, appropriately labeled. Right now I've just got the one and it's full of what you might call abstract and psychadelic art thingies. For example:

I'm definitely still getting used to this format... I wish there was a way to set up direct links to the galleries so I could use the journal bit for talking and informing people of updates... Maybe I just don't know how to do that yet, but there is a way? We'll see.

Hello, masses! My name is Emily, and I'm a starving artist from the great NW. I finally decided to get up off my ass, kick my scanner into gear, and start some sort of temporary portfolio site for my drawrings. Sometimes I write short stories and take pictures, but mostly I will be displaying my comics, doodles, and tattoo designs. I'm not the most technologically literate person out there, so any suggestions as to how I could pimp this page or make it more effective as a portfolio site would be greatly appreciated. Right now it's just me, my scanner, and a paint program I had to fish around on the internets for, since apparently OS X doesn't come with a basic painter. Anyways, I look forward to seeing how I can make this work. I'll be back shortly with things to look at.
